Database disclosure via injectable delete_student id
Published Aug 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Simple Task Scheduling System 1.0 allows remote attackers to disclose database information through the delete_student endpoint. The delete_student action in classes/Master.php passes the POST id parameter into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing an updatexml error payload to expose the active database name. Remote access to the endpoint is sufficient according to NVD, and the demonstrated consequence is database disclosure.
