Database disclosure via crafted account identifier
Published Aug 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Simple Task Scheduling System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted account ID. The delete_account action uses the POST id value in a database operation without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing an updatexml payload to evaluate an attacker-selected query. The route requires a signed-in session, but the application permits self-registration without validation, and exploitation can disclose database contents.
