Unauthenticated file disclosure via download API
Published Sep 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file download in Novel-Plus 3.6.2 allows remote attackers to read server files through the background file download API. Public records do not identify the endpoint, input parameter, or file-path validation error that permits attacker-selected downloads. The request requires no authentication or user interaction, and the documented consequence is disclosure of files readable by the service.
