Privilege escalation in PCProtect Endpoint before 5.17.470 allows local users with Administrator privileges to execute code as SYSTEM. The Windows endpoint service does not enforce tamper protection on its running processes, permitting process modification through a crafted executable. Exploitation requires an authenticated local Administrator session and can disable endpoint protection while obtaining SYSTEM privileges.
