Unauthenticated database commands via disabled authentication
Published Sep 2, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Incorrect default permissions in InfluxData InfluxDB before 1.8.10 allow remote attackers to run database commands without credentials. With auth-enabled false in the HTTP service, the request handler accepts API queries without checking credentials and assigns every user all database privileges. Exposure requires network access to the API while authentication is disabled; the vendor documents this as the default, so the CVE assignment is disputed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
