Authenticated command execution via checkUrl newline injection
Published Sep 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in InnoSilicon T3T+ firmware t2t+_soc_20190911_151433.swu allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The checkUrl API inserts the check_url POST value into a ping command without escapeshellcmd, so newline-delimited input reaches shell_exec as an additional command. Administrator JWT authentication and network access to the miner's web interface are required; successful exploitation grants command execution on the embedded device.
