Authenticated arbitrary file overwrite via restore backup
Published Aug 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Seiko Solutions SkyBridge MB-A100/A110 4.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to overwrite files via restore backup. The restore backup handler accepts a filename containing relative path elements and writes the uploaded content outside the intended backup location, allowing arbitrary files such as web content to be created or replaced. Access requires authenticated WebUI use; successful overwrite can alter configuration or executable web files and may enable administrative code execution.
