Root command execution via profile job fields
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Command injection in Syncovery 9 for Linux 9.47x and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as root. The post_profilesettings.php handler accepts Job_ExecuteBefore and Job_ExecuteAfter values as profile jobs without restricting their commands. A valid username, password, or session token and Web GUI access are required; successful exploitation grants full control of the Linux host.
