Database disclosure via unparameterized table rename
Published Aug 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Kensite CMS 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through crafted table names. DBMapper.xml's renameTable mapping substitutes the oldName and name values directly into a RENAME statement instead of binding or validating them. An ordinary back-end account can reach sys/table/update, and the published demonstration reports disclosure of database information.
