CVE-2022-36524Network attack vector

Unauthorized Telnet access via static default credentials

Published Aug 15, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Static default credentials in D-Link GO-RT-AC750 firmware 101b03 and 200b02 allow remote attackers to access its Telnet service. The /etc/init0.d/S80telnetd.sh startup script configures shared credentials instead of device-specific authentication secrets. Network reachability to Telnet and knowledge of those credentials are sufficient to obtain unauthorized access and read protected information.
