Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized host_time
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK N350RT 9.3.5u.6139_B20201216 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via host_time. NTPSyncWithHost passes host_time directly to dosystem, whose implementation invokes system without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The web request requires no authentication, and the published proof of concept reports stable root-shell access.
