Local token disclosure via plaintext API field
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
Plaintext credential storage in collection remotes in The Pulp Project Pulp Ansible 0.15 allows local users to read tokens through the API. CollectionRemote stores the token in an unencrypted text field and exposes it as readable and writable through its serializer instead of using encrypted, write-only handling. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access to the Pulp service; disclosed tokens can compromise confidentiality of connected Ansible content sources.
