Link following in Trend Micro Apex One 2019 and SaaS and Worry-Free Business Security 10.0 SP1 and SaaS allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges. In Apex One, the NT Apex One RealTime Scan Service follows an attacker-created mount point and deletes the redirected folder; Trend Micro attributes the same scanning flaw to Worry-Free. Low-privileged code execution on an affected Windows endpoint is required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code as SYSTEM.
