CVE-2022-36316Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-site redirect disclosure via missing PerformanceEntry

Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Information disclosure in the Performance API in Mozilla Firefox before 103 allows remote attackers to detect cross-site redirects. Cross-origin fetches that redirect produce no PerformanceResourceTiming entry, while nonredirecting fetches do, exposing redirect state through getEntriesByName. Execution of attacker-controlled web content in the browser is required, and the observable consequence is limited to whether the requested URL redirected.
