CVE-2022-36307

SNMP credential disclosure via boot-time serial output

Published Aug 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Credential exposure in Airspan Networks AirVelocity before 15.18.00.2511 allows physically proximate attackers to obtain SNMP credentials. During boot, the external 8P8C DBG port operates as an RS-232 console and prints /bsdata/snmpd.conf, which contains SNMPv2c community strings or SNMPv3 usernames and passwords. A modified cable and device reboot are required; the disclosed credentials permit SNMP configuration changes and can enable root command execution.
