Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Aug 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Clinic's Patient Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code. The users.php profile-picture handler saves attacker-supplied PHP content and a .php filename under the web-accessible /pms/user_images directory without blocking executable files. Access to management features requires valid credentials, after which requesting the uploaded file executes it with the web server's privileges.
