Authenticated PHP code execution via password data write
Published Aug 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Code injection in DedeCMS 5.7.94 through 5.7.97 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through member_toadmin.php. The endpoint uses the attacker-controlled id value as a JSON object key, embeds the encoded JSON in single-quoted PHP, and writes it to password.data.php without safely escaping the PHP source context. Administrative authentication and valid safecode and randcode values are required; successful exploitation runs code with web-server privileges.
