Administrator credential disclosure via request URL
Published Aug 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cleartext credential exposure in FiberHome HG150-Ub VDSL2 Modem 3.0 allows attackers to read administrator credentials from request URLs. The modem submits administrator credentials in the URL, so network captures and URL logs can retain the secret in readable form. Exploitation requires observation of management traffic or access to a system that records the URL; the bounded impact is disclosure of administrator credentials.
