Session hijacking via unrenewed post-login identifier
Published Nov 22, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Session fixation in FusionDirectory 1.3 allows remote attackers to hijack authenticated sessions through a preset session identifier. The successful-login path in html/index.php redirects without calling session_regenerate_id(), leaving the pre-login identifier valid after authentication. Exploitation requires a victim to authenticate with an identifier already known to the attacker, exposing the victim's FusionDirectory privileges and data.
