Traffic interception via disabled TLS certificate validation
Published Sep 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
TLS validation failure in Freshworks Freshservice Agent on macOS before 4.4.0 and Linux before 3.4.0 allows remote attackers to intercept traffic. FSUtil.HttpHandler globally overrides HTTPS certificate checks, causing the client to accept self-signed interception certificates for inventory and scheduled-update connections. An attacker must control the network path; the flaw exposes device inventory and permits traffic manipulation, while privileged update execution additionally depends on a separate package-integrity weakness.
