Root command execution via hidden developer page
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
OS command injection in Contec FXA3200 firmware before 1.16.00 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The unlinked /usr/www/ja/mnt_cmd.cgi developer page accepts system commands and runs them in the device's Linux environment with root privileges. Access requires the Wireless LAN Manager password and network reachability; exploitation permits data theft or modification, malware execution, or device destruction.
