Process status manipulation via unchecked SetProcessAttributes call
Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authorization in SS&C Blue Prism Enterprise 6.0 through 7.01 allows remote authenticated users to change process status. A reverse-engineered client can invoke SetProcessAttributes without enforcement of the Edit Process permission. Exploitation requires a valid account and a misconfigured environment exposing the Application Server; any logged-in user can publish, unpublish, or retire processes.
