Sensitive-field disclosure via query enumeration
Published Sep 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Information disclosure in Parse Platform Parse Server before 4.10.14 or 5.2.5 allows remote attackers to read sensitive fields via crafted queries. Parse Server accepted query constraints naming internal fields prefixed with underscores and protected user fields, letting attackers enumerate guesses until response objects revealed values that normally require a master key. The attack is unauthenticated and network reachable, while the documented impact is limited to disclosure; the patched query path requires the master key for those fields.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
