Client disruption via prototype-polluting Matrix events

Prototype pollution in matrix-js-sdk before 19.4.0 allows remote attackers to disrupt client event processing via crafted Matrix events. The event-processing code accepts attacker-controlled special property names and allows them to modify Object.prototype; the vendor has not disclosed the exact affected functions. An attacker must share a Matrix room with the target, and successful exploitation can hide rooms or spaces or temporarily corrupt runtime data without an obvious client failure.
