CVE-2022-3605Public exploit

Spreadsheet formula execution via unescaped export fields

Published Dec 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

CSV injection in Masahiro NAKASHIMA WP CSV Exporter before 1.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to trigger spreadsheet formulas. The export path writes post fields such as a title beginning with an equals sign into CSV output without neutralizing formula prefixes. Administrator-level access is required to place the crafted field, and code execution occurs only when a recipient opens the export in a vulnerable spreadsheet configuration.
