Spreadsheet formula execution via unescaped CSV fields
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
CSV injection in CRM Perks Contact Form Entries before 1.3.0 allows attackers to execute formulas via submitted form values. The CSV export writes attacker-controlled field values beginning with formula markers, such as an equals sign, without escaping them. Execution requires an administrator to export the entries and open the file in a formula-evaluating spreadsheet, where a formula can run commands with that user's privileges.
