Panel session compromise via unsafe multiselect option rendering
Published Aug 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stored XSS in Kirby 3.5.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a victim's Panel session. MultiselectInput.vue inserts attacker-influenced option.info values with Vue's v-html directive, causing the dropdown to interpret stored HTML instead of displaying text. The site must use a multiselect field backed by attacker-manipulable options, and a Panel user must open its autocomplete dropdown; script execution inherits that user's API permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
