Open redirect via unchecked return cookie
Published Apr 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Open redirect in BigBlueButton Greenlight before 2.13.0 allows remote attackers to redirect users to an attacker-controlled site after login. The authenticator uses the return_to cookie as its post-login destination without verifying that the supplied URL has the same host as the request. The condition is reached when login completes with an external URL in that cookie; the resulting redirect can support trusted-domain phishing.
