Code execution via unneutralized CSV fields
Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
CSV injection in Awesome Motive Easy Digital Downloads before 3.1.0.2 allows remote attackers to plant formulas through guest orders. The customer CSV exporter writes an attacker-controlled first-name field without neutralizing spreadsheet formula prefixes. Exploitation requires an administrator to export the customer data and a spreadsheet user to open it, where the formula runs with that user's privileges.
