CVE-2022-35974Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via unchecked nonscalar range inputs

Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Improper input validation in Google TensorFlow allows remote attackers to crash a process through crafted quantization tensors. The QuantizeDownAndShrinkRange kernel reads input_min and input_max as scalar floats without first checking that either tensor has rank zero. Reachability requires an application to pass attacker-controlled nonscalar range tensors to this operation; the reported consequence is process termination only.
