Credential disclosure via malformed image link

Published Aug 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Credential disclosure in Zulip Mobile 27.189 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to steal credentials through a malformed image link. The image-link handling path accepts a malformed URL that violates Zulip's link security model and exposes stored credentials when opened.
