CVE-2022-3596Network attack vector

Unauthenticated credential disclosure via exposed rsync

Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in Red Hat OpenStack Platform 13 allows remote attackers to read undercloud data exposed through rsync. The instack-undercloud deployment exposes rsync-served undercloud content without authentication to clients that know the undercloud IP address. Exposure requires network reachability to that address, and disclosed private data can include administrator access credentials.
