CVE-2022-35942

SQL injection via unparameterized contains array values

Published Aug 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

SQL injection in LoopBack loopback-connector-postgresql before 5.5.1 allows attackers to read or alter data through contains filters. In buildExpression, the contains case inserted each operatorValue directly between quotes in an SQL array literal instead of binding parameters. Reachability requires allowExtendedProperties to be enabled or application code to pass attacker-controlled filters through connector CRUD or filter-processing methods.
