Out-of-bounds read and crash via unchecked indices
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in TensorFlow Lite Micro before 2.10.0 allows attackers to read beyond an input tensor or crash inference via crafted indices. The GatherNd kernel multiplies unchecked index values by dimension strides and passes the resulting offset to memcpy without confirming that the source slice remains inside the input tensor. The condition requires a model or input that controls GatherNd indices; triggering it reads beyond the parameter buffer or stops the hosting process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
