Process-memory disclosure via crafted DGN file parsing
Published Jul 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Bentley MicroStation and Bentley View before 10.17.0 allows attackers to disclose process memory via a crafted DGN file. The DGN parser performs an out-of-bounds read while processing attacker-controlled data embedded in the file. Exploitation requires a user to open the file in an affected application and is limited to information readable in that process.
