CVE-2022-35885Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory disclosure and service interruption via format string

Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Format string injection in the Abode iota All-In-One Security Kit 6.9X and 6.9Z allows remote authenticated users to read or corrupt process memory. The /action/wirelessConnect handler embeds the wpapsk_hex parameter in cmd_buffer, then passes that attacker-controlled buffer to log as the format argument for vsprintf. Authentication and a hexadecimal WPA-PSK mode are required; crafted format directives expose stack values, corrupt memory, or interrupt service.
