Privileged Gateway access via missing authentication
Published Jul 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authentication bypass in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1.15 allows remote attackers to access privileged Gateway Config pages. The com.inductiveautomation.ignition.gateway.web.pages package exposes Gateway Web Interface functionality without first enforcing its authentication layer. No credentials are required; exploitation grants privileged configuration-page access, while code execution requires chaining a separate flaw.
