CVE-2022-35734

API key disclosure via reverse-engineered app binary

Published Aug 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in HJ Holdings Hulu App for Android 3.0.47 through 3.1.1 allow local users to obtain an external-service API key. The application binary embeds the key in retrievable data, so reverse-engineering exposes the credential without authentication. Access to an affected application package is required; the consequence is limited to external-service credential disclosure, with no direct effect on application users.
