Unauthenticated cache clearing via missing capability check
Published Aug 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Improper authentication in the YotuWP Video Gallery plugin through 1.3.4.5 allows remote attackers to clear its cache via a network request. The deletecache function lacks a WordPress capability check, so unauthenticated requests reach the cache-clearing operation. Exploitation requires network access to the WordPress site and can remove cached gallery data, affecting integrity without demonstrated confidentiality or service interruption impact.
