Arbitrary code execution via SVG buffer overflow
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Heap overflow in Adobe FrameMaker 2019 Update 8 and earlier and 2020 Update 4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The SVG parser fails to validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it into a fixed-length heap buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, after which code runs in the current process and user context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
