Reflected XSS via misconfigured DataPage setting
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Pega Platform 7.3 through 8.7.3 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a misconfigured DataPage setting. The misconfiguration leaves DataPage-generated content insufficiently protected from attacker-controlled markup, enabling reflected script execution when a crafted request is rendered. Exploitation requires a victim to load the crafted content; impact is limited to actions and data accessible in that browser session.
