Unauthenticated service hang via prolonged HTTP connections
Published Jul 26, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Denial of service in IBM Sterling Partner Engagement Manager 6.1, 6.2, and Cloud 22.2 allows remote attackers to hang the server. The HTTP service fails to limit connection duration, so Slowloris clients keep connections open until the server becomes unresponsive. The exposed HTTP service is reachable without authentication, and exploitation interrupts availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
