Fraudulent NFT transfer records via unchecked sender
Published Sep 21, 2022 · Updated May 28, 2025
Improper access control in Evoh NFT EvohClaimable allows remote attackers to forge NFT transfer records through contract calls. The transferFrom and safeTransferFrom functions accept an arbitrary _from value without verifying that it owns the token, then emit that value as the seller in the Transfer event. An attacker must own the token or be approved to transfer it; the forged event can misrepresent the seller to marketplaces without transferring another holder's token.
