Dashboard manipulation via missing anti-CSRF tokens
Published Oct 13, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
CSRF in Bevywise MQTTRoute 3.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or remove dashboards through a user's browser. Dashboard API requests, including POST /bwiot/api/v1/dashboard/, omit anti-CSRF tokens, so the server accepts a crafted cross-origin form as intentional. Exploitation requires an unsuspecting user with a valid MQTTRoute session to submit the form, limiting resulting changes to that user's dashboard privileges.
