Path traversal in pesign 115 and earlier allows local users in the pesign group to gain access to privileged files and directories. The pesign-authorize script recursively assigns ACLs beneath /etc/pki/pesign and /run/pesign without preventing traversal through attacker-created symbolic links. Control of the pesign account or group and a pesign.service restart are required; successful exploitation grants access to chosen privileged paths.
