Device crash via oversized wifiSSIDset index
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda W6 1.0.0.9(4122) allows remote attackers to crash the device via the wifiSSIDset index parameter. The formwrlSSIDset handler accepts an oversized index value at /goform/wifiSSIDset and writes it beyond a stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted HTTP POST interrupts the access point service.
