Unauthenticated command execution via crafted cmdinput separators
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda W6 firmware 1.0.0.9(4122) allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through cmdinput. The /goform/exeCommand handler accepts shell separators in cmdinput as executable syntax; the published payload uses semicolons to run ls and redirect its output. A network-reachable management interface is sufficient because the published request uses an empty user cookie, and exploitation grants command execution on the access point.
