Unauthenticated command injection via unfiltered login parameter
Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Command injection in WAVLINK WN572HP3, WN533A8, WN530H4, WN535G3 and WN531P3 allows remote attackers to execute commands via login.shtml. The login.cgi handler accepts an unfiltered parameter key and passes attacker-controlled input into command processing. The interface is reachable without authentication over the network, allowing arbitrary command execution with router firmware privileges and resulting confidentiality, integrity and availability impact.
