Authenticated command injection via unfiltered blacklist parameters
Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Command injection in WAVLINK WN572HP3, WN533A8, WN530H4, WN535G3, and WN531P3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The /cgi-bin/firewall.cgi handler accepts unfiltered del_mac and flag values from /cli_black_list.shtml as command input. Administrative login is required, after which a crafted blacklist-deletion request executes attacker-supplied commands with the router service's privileges.
