Authenticated code execution via unrestricted Filemanager upload
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 12, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in BoxBilling before 0.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the Filemanager API. The save_file endpoint accepts an attacker-controlled path and PHP content, then stores that content without restricting executable file types. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator session and an existing product order, after which the uploaded PHP file executes on the server.
